An old poem revised

The Call

A battle every day.
Helps me sleep.
Cures my hurt.
Used to make my friends laugh.
Costs me my paycheck.
Smoke a cigarette.
I do things I would never do.
Say things I would never say.
Tell Jokes for days.
Fall down.
Struggle to stand up.
Ignore the world.
Walk into doors.
Put up walls.
Get sick.
Life goes on hold.
Drown my sorrow.
Try to forget.
All for the Call,
Of Alcohol.

I'm still there unfortunately...I'm a work in progress. Can't afford to lose any more friends because of my FN mouth.
